The Building Department is located in the New Development Services Building.
The Development Services Building is located adjacent to City Hall at 7012 Pine Street.
The Building Department is open to the public:
Monday through Friday:
8:00 AM 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (excluding holidays).
Note: We are closed 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Inspections requested before 4:00 PM will be scheduled for the following business day. Requests must be left on the inspection request line to be added to the inspection log for that day.
Our Mission Statement
The goal of the Building Department is to protect the citizenry in and around the built environment through the enforcement of building codes and standards. We provide public safety by regulating the construction industry and other applicable building activities within the City.
The Building Department administers a variety of State and Local codes and is responsible for the following areas of regulation:
- Building Inspection and Approval
- Construction BMP’s
- Code Enforcement
- Project Plan-Set Review and Approval
- Permit Issuance
