The City of Hughson desires to provide abundant parks, trails and recreational facilities to accommodate organized and informal sports and recreational opportunities. This is accomplished through the preservation of open space and parks that entice resident (and visitor) usage as well as a strong sense of community. It is our hope that through these efforts that the social, cultural and physical well-being—and quality of life—of all residents is improved.
Additionally, the Division serves as staff to the Parks, Recreation & Entertainment Commission, a body comprised of five residents, which advise the City Council on matters regarding parks, including purchase, sale and rental as well as recreational and entertainment opportunities at various city facilities and in the downtown.
