The Utilities Department provides essential services to the community, including water supply production and treatment; wastewater and stormwater collection.
Water
The Department, maintains, and repairs the City’s water distribution system, including water mains, service connections, valves, and fire hydrants. This Division also reads, tests, repairs, and replaces water meters on the City’s water system, and provides water turn-on and turn-off services.
Wastewater
The City's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operates to treat and dispose of the wastewater collected within the City. The Treatment Plant is located just north of Hughson on Leedom Road near the Tuolumne River.
