The Hughson Fire Protection District, founded over 100 years ago in 1915, provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, fire prevention, public education, and disaster preparedness to approximately 35 square miles of Stanislaus County, including the City of Hughson, California.

The Hughson Fire Protection District, comprised of 5 members of a Board of Directors, 2 paid staff and 29 volunteers, all of whom are dedicated to and proud of what they do for the residents of the region, is committed to achieving and maintaining the highest level of professionalism and efficiency on behalf of those they serve. They are also committed to giving back to the community and lead or participate in various community events including National Night Out, Operation Santa, Light up the Town among many others.
